In a report recently published in the Journal of Antimicrobial Therapy, Division of Immunology researchers including Lerato Hlaka, Michael-Jon Rosslee, Mumin Ozturk, Suraj Parihar, Frank Brombacher and Reto Guler describe new potential antitubercular drugs that bind to the minor groove of DNA, and use non-ionic surfactant vesicles (NIVs) as a potential drug delivery system.
Lerato and Michael-Jon received second prize in the 2017 IDM postgraduate student publication competition for this work. Kudos to Reto, who supervised the work and to Mumin, who co-supervised Michael's work.
